Borsheims® Fine Jewelry & Gifts Susan Jacques, G.G., F.G.A., joined Borsheims® Fine Jewelry & Gifts in 1982 as a sales associate, and in 1994 was appointed President and CEO by Warren Buffett, chairman of the board of its parent company, Berkshire Hathaway. Jacques’ love of gemstones began in her native Rhodesia at Scottish Jewelers. She completed a residency program at the Gemological Institute of America and received a fellowship from the Gemological Society of Great Britain, where she was awarded the Raynor Diploma prize as outstanding student worldwide. Jacques continued to nurture her keen interest in rare and unusual gemstones developed at GIA through product journeys to the far corners of the world. She has served on the boards of the Gemological Institute of America and Jewelers of America as well as the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
